Terms of Service

Last updated: June 9, 2026

Agreement

These terms govern use of the ltisim.com website and, unless superseded by a written agreement with an institution, the LTISim product. By using the site or product you agree to these terms. Institutions piloting or licensing LTISim typically do so under a separate written agreement (including data processing terms); where that agreement conflicts with these terms, the written agreement controls.

The service

LTISim provides AI-powered simulation and assessment assignments delivered through LTI 1.3 integration with an institution’s learning management system. AI responses and AI-generated evaluations are produced by large language models; they can be imperfect. Institutions and instructors remain responsible for final grading decisions, and the product provides instructor review and override workflows for that purpose.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • attempt to access data belonging to another user or institution;
  • probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service without written authorization (see our responsible disclosure policy);
  • use the service to generate unlawful, harmful, or infringing content;
  • resell or sublicense the service without a written agreement;
  • interfere with the operation of the service, including by circumventing rate or usage limits.

Content and intellectual property

Institutions and instructors retain ownership of the assignment content they author and the learner data generated through their use of the product. We retain ownership of the LTISim software and site. You grant us the limited rights needed to host and process your content in order to operate the service — and nothing more; we do not use your content to train AI models.

Availability and changes

LTISim is under active development. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and features may change. Material changes affecting piloting institutions will be communicated in advance where reasonably possible.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LTISim will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim (or US$100 if the service was provided at no charge).

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms. Institutions may terminate at any time and request export or deletion of their data as described in our Privacy Policy.
